It is a woman's crowning creative experience of a lifetime." ~ Dr. John Stevenson

Energy Healing Explained For Mormons

Felice Austin, co-author of The Gift of Giving Life and Kundalini Yoga Meditation Instructor has written a truly wonderful article explaining what energy healing is and how it fits in with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  There are so many things I love about her explanation, but I will just post the link to it here and let you read it for yourself.  She says it so much better than I could.

I'm so excited to attend the Empowering Fearless Birth Conference this Saturday, September 21st in Provo, Utah!  This quote is their tag line:

“This movement isn’t about natural birth vs. medicated birth. It’s not about hospital birth vs. home birth or birth center birth.  It’s about women being capable of making safer, more informed decisions about their care and that of their babies, when they are given full and accurate information about their care options, including the potential harms, benefits, and alternatives. Then, within that choice, they are treated with dignity and compassion.”
~ Dawn Thompson, Founder of www.ImprovingBirth.org

I'm most excited to attend Tamara Laing's class titled "Healing Arts for Stress and Trauma Release."  Tamara is a wonderful person who has great insight and experience with energy medicine.  She has written a fantastic book called "Healing Arts:  LDS Insight on the Light of Christ and Energy Medicine."  She will be sharing a lot of what is in her book along with the energy tools and methods she used to help her daughter during her pregnancy and labor.

There are also many other classes and birth film premiers to enjoy.  Can't wait!

I'm a grandma!  My daughter was amazing. She gave birth in a birth center and used Hypnobabies.  She pushed for 2.5 hours to birth a beautiful 9.5 lb 22 inch baby girl.  Lots of hard work, but my daughter showed strength, faith and trust in the process.  It was absolutely wonderful to get to be there with her and witness the birth.  I loved watching her instantly bond with her baby.  Nothing like those mother-love hormones flowing freely!  I couldn't be prouder or more joyful!
